Parents Connecting Parents

The Office of Early Childhood (OEC) partners with local early childhood collaboratives in each community to identify and support families who may not be fully aware of the opportunities available to them.

Parents Connecting Parents is currently operating in 6 communities across Connecticut, working to ensure families have access to state and local programs that can benefit them. This innovative approach recognizes that sometimes the best way to reach families is through other parents who understand their experiences firsthand.

Meet our Parent Ambassadors below!

Aleksandra Szczesny

As a parent who moved to New London with a small child, I understand that it can be challenging to navigate a new place, while trying to give our children the best childhood possible. Nobody is joking when saying that "it takes a village".

When you share with others, problems become smaller and happiness grows, so I am honored to be here for families to support them in challenging situations, and celebrate victories and joys together.

Ernesto Rivera Gonzalez

I am incredibly happy and excited to be joining Parents Connecting Parents and CT Early Childhood as a Parent Ambassador!

To me, this is more than a job—it's a mission of the heart. Being able to connect with families, support them, and be a resource as we work together to build a stronger community where all our children have the chance for a bright start is a dream come true.

It is a true honor to bring my energy and commitment to this wonderful community.

 Dougenie Alexis

I’m excited to support and connect with ECCN families, share experiences, and help our community thrive.
